“Activia is delighted to work with Shakira, a supporter of children’s charities for over two decades, to support the WFP, in tackling a global issue through their School Meals Programme.”
THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME (WFP)
. . . . .
WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, helping more than 90 million people in 80 countries each year. Working to build a world with zero hunger, WFP aims to ensure that every man, woman and child has access to the nutritious food needed for an active and healthy life.
The WFP works with governments, NGOs, other UN agencies, foundations and corporations to develop and implement its programs, such as the School Meals Programme.
WFP IS 100% VOLUNTARILY FUNDED, WHICH MEANS THAT EACH AND EVERY DONATION MAKES A REAL DIFFERENCE FOR HUNGRY CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.

WFP'S SCHOOL MEALS PROGRAMME
. . . . .
The World Food Programme’s main project is the School Meals Programme, and its objective is to support good nutrition and education.
Every day, WFP provides nutritious school meals to 25 million children in 60 countries around the world where families must often make the difficult choice between sending their children to school or putting them to work. With this programme, not only does WFP provide children a much-needed daily meal, but it also gives parents the incentive to keep their children in school.
By helping kids focus on their studies, WFP’s School Meals Programme gives them a chance at a brighter future. As the leading organization in this field, WFP has worked with governments and NGOs to build school meals programmes for the past 50 years.

"With ‘La La La (Brazil 2014)’, I wanted to capitalize on the world coming together in celebration to also raise awareness and make a contribution towards nourishing kids and eradicating malnutrition by supporting The World Food Programme's school meals initiative, together with Activia.”
